Puppy Pricing
The pricing of our Shih Tzu puppies varies; depending on the color, markings, pedigree, and sex of each puppy. As well as if they are sold as a Pet companion with limited AKC registration or with Full AKC breeding / showing rights. Average pricing $450 - $600.
Our AKC registered shih tzu puppies are top quality purebred health happy puppies. We believe in serious time socializing our puppies and they all have great dispositions. Much time goes into preparing them for their future homes.
We reserve the right to first pick of any litter out of our breeding and any litter registered by us.
Because some people place deposits down, to be put on a waiting list for a specific litter to be born. We first have to satisfy all the people on the waiting list before the rest of the litter becomes available.
We require a $200 non-refundable deposit to hold the puppy of your choice, which your deposit will go towards the purchase price of your Shih Tzu puppy. This deposit must be received in order to hold a puppy. If for any reason there is a change of plans, your deposit is transferable to another litter. We will hold the deposit for you until you are ready to make your choice of a special puppy for your home. You must choose your puppy with in one years time.
By sending your deposit for the purchase of our puppy, you agree to the terms and condition listed in our sales contract and warranty.
We ask that the balance of the puppy to be paid in full at pick up (which is 9 or 10 weeks) or by time time the puppy is 8 weeks old if shipping. Payment terms can be made in cash (if picking up puppy in person), Money Order or Cashiers Check (sent to us overnight by FedEx),or you may use Pay-Pal at the bottom of this page or my Sales Contract & Health Warranty Page. There is a 3 % fee for using Pay Pal. Please add this to the total amount you are sending.

Shipping Your Shih Tzu Puppy
Here at R Texas Star Shih Tzus, although I personally prefer for new owners to pick up their puppy in person, I understand this is not always possible. So, we do offer shipping. All puppies are shipped with Continental Cargo. Continental has become our personal choice due to their quality service the cargo unit offers. We feel that Continental does more to ensure a safe and comfortable trip for our puppies.
Your puppy is placed into a temperature controlled van in-between flights and are never left outdoors on a loading dock in unbearable weather. Continental confirms bookings for all animals shipped out. This guarantees a place on the plane for your puppy.
We will do our absolute best to have your puppy shipped to the nearest airport that Continental uses for live animal shipments. However, we do not guarantee that it will be the closest airport to you. We cannot confirm a shipping date until we have contacted Continental and they have guaranteed space for all puppies leaving on that day.
With Continental, temperature never becomes a deciding factor in your Shih Tzu puppies' departure as with other airlines.
The total cost for shipping is $325. This price also includes the airline ticket, approved airline taxi carrier along with food and water kit, and the veteranarians health certificate.
Puppies must be 9 weeks old before shipping, airline requirements. All medical records, vet health certificate, food, AKC
registration papers, and your copy of the sales contract / health replacement warranty will be attached to your puppies airline taxi carrier.
Understand that I WILL NOT ship a puppy unless I feel that the conditions are safe and that the puppy is ready to make the trip. This is done to ensure that the puppy will arrive safely. I reserve the right to determine when the puppy is ready to be shipped. I will do my best to get your puppy to you as soon as possible, but sometimes there are delays (inclement weather, hazardous driving conditions). Other delays include puppy readiness (development) and flight schedules.

If you wish to pick up your puppy from us here in Warren, Texas, you may do so after your puppy is 9 weeks old. Please contact us if you would like to have your puppy shipped to you.
